When I encountered, for the first time, the Greek Tragedies and the classical plays during my time at the university, I realized then that after 10 years of already working as a professional actor, I was not equipped with skills to play the roles that the classical texts required. The richness of ideas and the questions the texts invoked moved me so much that at the pinnacle of my acting career when I sighed 7 years contract with Broadcasting Television Company, CH7, promising years with works as an actor, I decided to leave Thailand and pursued my theatrical training at Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theater in Los Angeles in 2012 hoping to learn the skills to tackle the great roles in great plays and decipher acting as an art form.
During my time in Los Angeles, I was nurtured by the best teachers I could ever asked for. They were so genuinely passionate and hoping to cultivate the actors as those who try to understand human nature. Along the way, I was learning from life. By traveling and living in different countries including Mexico, Turkey and different part of United States, I continued to ask the very questions of human existence. I spend many months in monastery and at times living the full "liberal" life. (Living the life to the extremes along with my theatrical training only works when you are early 20s and full of energy!) After a few years of training and living to the extremes, I realized that I would not be able to understand human nature without certain intellectual capacity and the understanding of human's mind through the world's great writers. During the play production, I left theater school abruptly, pursued by the Furies of existential questions, traveled to Santa Fe, and enrolled in Master of Liberal Art in Western Classics at St. John's College where I graduated in 2017. The time I spent with the Great Books of Western Classics invoke in me a deep desire to combine philosophy with the art of acting.
In 2018, I discovered a deeper passion than being an actor but to cultivate actors. I have been experimenting with techniques combining my personal experiences in theater, acting techniques learned from different teachers and philosophy to cultivate a well-rounded actors with a deep understanding of themselves and the world around them. I have been working as a voice and movement teacher for many broadcasting companies, various TV shows and movies and with over 100 actors in just a few years of teaching. To my greatest surprise, in 2019, I had the opportunity to choreograph the supporting actors, the chorus, for Oedipus the King at the dramatic art department of my former University where I first met the classical plays which took me on a journey of almost a decade in the Western world! I also found a great passion in directing plays. Currently, I am a part of Lucid Body Teacher Training for Fay Simpson's the Lucid Body Institute under my long time Movement teacher, Kennedy Brown. I founded the Cave in 2020 where I have been teaching different classes with willing and dedicating actors as an independent artist and an acting teacher. To my great pride, many of the actors who I worked with are now flying high in their career locally and internationally.
